The Isle of Man has been thanked for its support for children’s charity UNICEF by one of Britain’s most famous actors and comedians.
Stand-up Eddie Izzard is an ambassador for the organisation and is supporting the war relief effort for children affected by the Syrian conflict.
Tynwald recently donated £30,000 to the cause and received a handwritten letter of thanks from The Chronicles of Narnia star who recently visited a refugee camp.
The island’s International Development Committee said it was crucial the Isle of Man continued to support humanitarian causes and relief efforts.
