People have been urged not to jump from or swim in the Island’s harbours.
The warning comes after a number of incidents in the UK which have resulted in people being seriously injured and in some cases dying.
With the summer holidays in full swing the Department of Infrastructure says the ‘tombstoning’ craze is becoming more popular especially with young people.
Operations manager of the harbours division Colin Finney says the risks are great:
