The public are being urged to get behind a new campaign to stop the sale of the former Summerland site.
Today marks 40 years since a fire destroyed the leisure complex killing 50 people including 11 who were under the age of 19.
3,000 people including holidaymakers and locals were in the building at the time of the blaze which was the biggest fire since the Blitz.
A petition has been set up calling for the government to turn the site into a commemorative garden to provide a place to reflect and celebrate the lives of those who died and who were injured.
