The rain has returned in force this week but the Met Office believes summer hasn't disappeared just yet.
Last week saw the first significant rainfall on the island since June and yesterday afternoon again saw some heavy downpours.
Constant rain continued all last night and has lingered into this morning, although this is set to clear by late morning.
Ronaldsway says the mild conditions will linger for some time yet, but admits lengthy spells of low pressure will be increasingly common.
