Moody's is reviewing the Isle of Man's triple A government bond ratings.
The Treasury says the move is not unexpected in the changing global economic climate.
Minister Eddie Teare says the Isle of Man has been proactive in dealing with the growing pressures on international finance centres.
He adds that it is not surprising therefore that those pressures have led Moody's to review the rating and says the Treasury will work with them in the exercise.
