Work to reconstruct one of the busiest routes into Douglas is progressing ahead of the original timetable.
The Department of Infrastructure is carrying out major road works on Peel Road with the next phase due to start on Monday.
Work will begin between Hills Meadow and Circular Road and is due to take around nine weeks to complete.
As well as reconstructing the road a new surface water outfall pipe will be laid across the road to help reduce the frequency of flooding on Peel Road.
All businesses on the route will remain open as normal.
