A motorist had to be cut from a car yesterday after a road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to reports of smoke coming from a vehicle on the main road in Colby shortly after 4pm.
Fire crews from Port Erin and Castletown found the source of the smoke was from the deployed airbags.
They helped remove the casualty from the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.
The person was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment. No further update on their condition has been released.
