DASH concerned over ecstasy deaths

Ecstasy users have been warned about the risks of taking the drug after a number of deaths in the UK.

The Drug Advice Service and Helpline says the class A drugs PMA and PMMA have been found in some tablets.

Both drugs are less likely to be used recreationally due to their strength but they are being mixed with tablets sold as ecstasy.

DASH says the tablets, which have been linked to a number of deaths over recent weeks, vary in colour and design so are not easy to detect.

Director Shelly Stanley says drug users have no guarantee of what they are taking:
