The Department of Education and Children is warning it will have to close school grounds during holidays if they’re not treated with respect.
Incidents of vandalism in the past nearly saw the recreational areas shut off to the public during the lengthy summer break, however with improved surveillance it’s hoped there will be fewer problems.
Director of education Martin Barrow says the department doesn’t want to close the grounds but it will if people don’t behave responsibly:
