People will be charged more for buying tickets at the Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre when a new ticketing system is introduced later this month.
A two per cent charge, on top of the original ticket price, will be applied to all bookings regardless of how they are booked or paid for.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure says improving ticketing at the venues has been a major priority and the Ticketsolve system will improve levels of service.
Minister Graham Cregeen says it won’t generate income for government and is a way of ensuring taxpayers aren’t subsidising the current system:
