Animals feel the heat at Wildlife Park

If you’re feeling warm this weekend spare a thought for the animals at Curraghs Wildlife Park.

Keepers have been forced to make up special fruit ice lollies for many of the residents in an effort to keep them cool.

The animals are said to be feeling the heat with the meerkats spotted under the shade of the trees rather than basking in the sun despite the fact they originate from Southern Africa.

The penguins have also been enjoying a sprinkler system to keep cool when they aren’t in the pool.
