Advise for hotel users who may have inhaled harmful gas

Tue, 02 Jul 2013

People who left the scene of a chemical leak at the Mount Murray without getting medical attention are advised to look out for the symptoms of chlorine gas inhalation.

They include irritation of the eyes and nose, sore throat, cough, chest tightness and breathlessness.

Noble’s Hospital has contacted 10 people who left the scene without medical treatment to advise them of what to look out for.

Some people haven’t been traced though and they’re advised to go to Accident and Emergency if they become ill over the next 36 hours.
