The Chief Constable is to deliver his first annual report before July's sitting of Tynwald.
Gary Roberts officially came into the role at the beginning of the year at a time when the front line services are faced with significant cut backs.
This threat and the need to restructure aspects of their approach to policing will form a focal point of the report.
The report will highlight the continued decline in crime and incident figures on island, with Neighbourhood policing seen as a contributor to this.
Chief Constable Roberts says this personal approach to policing could suffer if more staffing cuts are needed:
