New education boss warns of challenges ahead

The man set to take the helm of the Department of Education and Children says there are a number of challenges ahead.

Professor Ronald Barr will take over as chief executive later this year.

The principle of the Isle of Man College will succeed Stuart Dobson who is retiring.

He'll take responsibility for a workforce of 2183 people who work across 72 places.

Professor Barr says there are a number of issues the department will be faced with:
