Government is not considering privatising the Island’s bus service.
That’s according to the Chief Minister who says despite allegations the idea is not being considered as a way of making savings.
It follows a dispute between the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure and drivers that’s lasted over a year.
Drivers are currently in the middle of a 12 day strike period after further negotiations between the parties failed.
Allan Bell says he isn’t keen on the idea of privatisation but that the public may think differently:
