An MHK is calling for the Island to progress with the idea for a TT world series.
Laurence Skelly, who now has political responsibility for the event, believes it could be a massive revenue generator.
The idea was first proposed in 2011 when the Department of Economic Development conducted a feasibility study to see if TT branded events could be held internationally as part of a global race series.
Mr Skelly says it could bring a wide range of opportunities including sponsorship, television deals, licensing and hospitality.
He says it’s time to capitalise on the event which has been running since 1907:
