There are no plans to introduce a national speed limit on the Isle of Man.
That’s according to the Infrastructure Minister who has responded after comments made at an inquest recently.
Coroner John Needham suggested the department should re-visit the issue following the death of motorcyclist Davy Jones in May last year.
David Cretney says there are no plans to re-open consultation on the matter as it would not be easy to enforce and will not produce improvements in road safety.
