Plans to turn a derelict marine centre in Port Erin into an extensive interpretation centre have been welcomed by Rushen MHKs.
A planning application is under consideration for the Marine Biological Station site which was left vacant by the University of Liverpool in 2009.
Sea Breezes Properties Limited signed an agreement with the Department of Infrastructure to develop the area last year.
Plans include a 20-bedroom hotel, offices, a dive centre and a cafe.
