Questions will be asked in Tynwald about the possible privatisation of some services within the Department of Health.
It’s currently being considered whether some ancillary services at Noble’s hospital could be privatised.
Staff have received a letter telling them about the possibility.
Two MHKs are asking questions in Tynwald next week.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran will ask the Health Minister whether the management and structure of the whole department will also be reviewed to get value for money.
North Douglas member Bill Henderson wants David Anderson to make a statement about the letter sent to staff and asks which services might be contracted out.
Mr Henderson thinks the letter may have caused workers unecessary worry.[play media file below]
