Unemployment hits 17 year high

Unemployment on the Island has continued to rise through 2013.

 

At the end of last month just over 1200 people were registered as out of work and seeking employment, an increase of 27 on February's numbers.

These latest figures represent the highest numbers since the summer of 1996.
