The Director of Public Health has definitively laid out the guidelines pregnant women should follow with regards to the mumps virus.
Although most common in children aged between five and 15 it can be caught at any age if you haven’t been vaccinated.
The past year has seen drastically increased cases of mumps both on Island and across the UK, asking the question can it be harmful to unborn babies?
