It is up to a working group to decide if bendy buses should be introduced on the Island – not the government.
That’s according to the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure which says it is waiting for the group’s report before making any decisions.
A £10,000 month long trial of the articulated vehicles recently concluded with the working group due to report back in the near future.
The department says the buses would save £300,000 a year if introduced but that it is for the working group to determine if the vehicles are feasible for use on Manx roads.
