There is real concern that the heavy snow could cause serious damage to the Island’s roads.
That’s according to the Department of Infrastructure which says it expects knock-on problems as a result.
The west of the Island, including much of the TT course, has been particularly badly affected with drifts of up to 12 feet.
Once this begins to melt it’s likely to cause substantial flooding leading to drainage problems.
Minister David Cretney says it’s a particular concern especially so close to the TT:
