A local farmer has been outlining the severity of the situation with regards to livestock trapped in the snow.
There have already been hundreds of animal fatalities as a result of the unprecedented snowfall - with many areas still unreachable.
Roger Chadwick farms the Cronk-Breck farm in Greeba.
He's spent the weekend tirelessly searching for animals - some surviving the harsh conditions and others proving not so lucky.
Roger says there will be serious financial implications for those farmers affected however their main concern is currently for the animals' wellbeing.
Freezing conditions and harsh winds are making the rescue operation very difficult, as Roger explains:
