MEA Engineers have worked through the night and today to restore approx 300 customers, there are still a further 250 customers off supply due to heavy snow preventing access to parts of their network.

The current estimate for recovery times are as follows:

Up to 12 hours
Eairystane
Glen Helen
Jurby Church

Plus a number of individual properties in Patrick, Crosby, Lhergydhoo, Greeba and Ellerslie

24 to 36 hours
Barregarrow
Sartfield
Fleshwich

72 hours and beyond
Ballacallin Hotel to Lhag
Remaining parts of Cronk-y-Voddy
Ballaholly to Ballcrye and Ballaugh Curraghs
Areas of Abbeylands

The MEA have been working with other agencies to ensure that contact is maintained with vulnerable customers who are still without power.
