It looks unlikely that a new bus station will be housed at the Sea Terminal in Douglas.
That’s according to the Infrastructure Minister who says the site has been turned down numerous times by previous ministers.
David Cretney made the comments in Tynwald this week after being quizzed on the matter.
Rushen MHK Laurence Skelly said the site appeared to have all the facilities needed, but the minister said it wasn’t suitable for a wide range of reasons.
Mr Cretney confirmed his department is working with a range of stakeholders to develop a master plan for the redevelopment of lower Douglas which he describes as “long overdue”.
