The Bus Driver’s Union, Unite, have sent a stark warning to the Department of Community Culture and Leisure.
With more strikes planned for next Wednesday, Unite has warned they will not stop until the DCCL withdraw their proposals which will see pay reduced for the drivers in an effort to save money.
Minister Graham Cregeen has said the latest strike action is clearly being driven by the Unite leadership in the UK who do not seem to appreciate or care about the severity of the economic challenges facing the Isle of Man.
Bobby Morton is the Passenger transport national officer for Unite the Union, he said until the Department appoint an independent arbitrator he can’t see an end to the dispute:
