The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says there’s never been a better time to buy local.
The department highlights the recent issues surrounding the horse meat scandal, with shoppers no longer assured of the exact content of processed foods.
Manx meat sold across the Island is fully traceable back to the local farm the animal came from.
DEFA also confirmed all meat products, both local and imported, go through rigorous checks to ensure they comply with the recognised food standards.
