Rushen Parish Commissioners have waded into the debate surrounding the introduction of a new area plan for the south of the Island.
They say they’re disappointed that the planning inspector appears to have ignored their concerns relating to residential development.
The Southern Area Plan – which replaces current sets of plans which were produced between 1982 and 1999 - will go to Tynwald next week.
It highlights residential development opportunities, a new bypass and the extension and development of southern schools.
Commissioner Peter Gunn say concern centres around the Ballakilley site in particular:
