There’s growing concern a change to the work permit system for secondary school teachers could impact local jobs.
However, a local headteacher says this isn't likely to be the case.
If approved by Tynwald, overseas teachers applying for jobs here wouldn't need to go through the lengthy task of securing a work permit.
It’s in an effort to appease growing recruitment difficulties at the Island’s upper schools.
