The Department of Health says it’s taking legal advice after a number of breast cancer patients were potentially given the wrong treatment.
It’s after a problem was found with the hormone testing which follows a breast cancer diagnosis and which determines the treatment pathway.
22 patients are known to be affected.
Health Minister David Anderson says investigations are continuing and the department is taking specialised legal advice from off island.
He added that no further information would be made public until those investigations have been concluded.
