The Office of Fair Trading says people are still falling victim to cowboy tradesmen despite numerous warnings,
It says it’s aware of tarmac jobbers operating on the Island.
These traders often pester households into having work done, make a mess of the job and are then unable to be contacted to fix the problems.
It’s often the elderly or vulnerable who are targeted.
