A review has been launched at the Creamery geared toward helping the directors identify ways of boosting efficiency and cutting costs.
The Creamery currently pays the highest price it ever has for milk, and to make matters worse their output dropped by 10 per cent last year due to poor weather.
While the restructuring continues there have been assurances from Government that it will provide support to the dairy industry.
Creamery managing director Findlay Macleod said the developments highlight how they’re not immune to the same external pressures faced by other companies:
