Long-term sickness and problems with recruitment are being blamed for a lack of dentists in the Isle of Man.
The Department of Health has revealed waiting times are set to increase as routine appointments are delayed.
It’s affecting the salaried dental service which operates from the Hillside and Central clinics in Douglas.
Children will continue to be seen as normal but adults waiting for routine treatment or a check-up will be affected.
General manager of primary health Tony Jones told us what’s being done to rectify the problem:
