In Tuesday's sitting of Tynwald, Michael MHK Alf Cannan will be seeking to find out how the Department of Health intend to reduce the waiting list backlog at Nobles Hospital.
It's an emotive topic and one that Health Minister David Anderson vowed to tackle as a top priority in November of last year.
Recent figures showed the average waiting time across all hospital departments to be about eight months.
Although those needing breast surgery are seen in less than a month, patients needing more routine appointments for pain management can sometimes be expected to wait well over a year.
