The Scope of Government will be raised in Tynwald next week when the Chief Minister outlines how he believes things should move forward.
When Allan Bell became Chief Minister in 2011 he vowed to revisit a report from 2006 which looked at how government could be overhauled.
Following a revised report and a public consultation last year, the Council of Ministers has now compiled a list of recommendations it wants to implement.
These include the need to make government smaller, simpler and less bureaucratic and a review of all departments’ service delivery functions.
CoMin also believes that all services provided by local authorities – including housing and waste collection – should be wholly funded by the authorities.
Tynwald will be asked to accept the recommendations at next Tuesday’s sitting.
