A woman who helps riders involved in racing accidents says she’s honoured to receive an MBE.
Wyn Evans has been awarded the accolade in the Queen’s New Year Honours list.
Since 1980 she’s been closely involved with the autocycle union and the Manx Motorcycle Club, and is the welfare officer for the MGP, Southern 100 and TT Races.
It means she’s the main contact between race organisers and riders – often looking after competitors and their families, sometimes in tragic circumstances.
Wyn says she’s overwhelmed to receive the recognition but it’s just her way of putting something back:
