Plans to significantly expand a wind farm development off the east coast of the Island have been put on hold.
Government has welcomed the decision by developer Celtic Array, which it says will now investigate more options regarding possible clashes with shipping lanes.
A recent Manx marine assessment will be used to assist in any future proposed offshore developments.
The Economic Development Minister said a number of concerns were expressed to Celtic Array and he’s grateful these were into consideration.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Infrastructure said the Steam Packet in particular must be safeguarded in the interests of travel of business supplies to the Island.
