Drivers in Douglas and Ramsey can expect delays next month as major long-term road works get under way.
After Christmas the Department of Infrastructure will start extensive work on Finch Road, between Prospect Hill and Market Street, in the heart of Douglas.
This will be carried out in phases and a one-way system will be in place heading toward Prospect Hill.
The works will last for a minimum of five months.
Meanwhile Ramsey will see the reconstruction of both the carriageway and the footways on Lezayre Road between Parliament Square and Bircham Avenue.
As Lezayre Road is a main route for pedestrians to and from school, a footway route will be maintained.
It’s estimated these works will last for four months.
