Tough winter ahead for airline industry

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

The Island’s airport director says she’s predicting a difficult winter for the airline industry.

That’s despite figures released earlier this week which showed an increase in the number of people travelling to and from Ronaldsway last month.

Some routes suffered badly in November with Leeds down 25 per cent and Luton down 30 per cent. Oxford was the worst casualty recording 40 per cent below its forecasted level.
