Protect your homes and vehicles against opportunist criminals

Police are reminding the public to take some basic precautions this Christmas to stop anyone becoming a victim of crime.

They say they want people to have a crime free festive season – as it’s usually a time of year when opportunistic thieves strike.

By failing to take simple steps like locking doors and windows, and keeping valuables out of sight, people inadvertently make it easy for criminals.

PC Mike Radcliffe is a crime prevention officer – he has this advice:
