Members of the public are being asked to help the police by alerting them to any problems on the Island’s roads.
The Roads Policing Unit says it’s helpful when people call in and let them know of any specific areas which require attention.
As the winter draws in and the weather conditions worsen it means the unit can mobilise the Department of Infrastructure and gritters to help keep the roads safe.
Sergeant Allan Thompson says the public’s help is vital:
