A “Helping Hands” appeal has been launched to provide support for elderly people this Christmas.
Members of the public are being asked to pick up some extra food items when shopping which will then be made into food hampers by the charity Age Isle of Man.
Food items need to be non-perishable and can be dropped off at the charity’s offices or a number of Shoprite stores.
Last year the appeal, saw over 100 hampers distributed to people who were struggling to cope, experiencing hardship or who found themselves alone during the festive period.
