Mailbox in liquidation

It's been confirmed that a Douglas bar and restaurant has gone into liquidation following its unexpected closure yesterday.

The Mailbox and The Deli on Circular Road only opened last year.

A statement released by the owners today says the decision was made at a board meeting yesterday after they failed to find new investors.

The directors say they they were left with no choice but to stop trading - something which took effect at 3pm yesterday.

Advertisements for the attention of creditors will be placed in the press soon.

The directors say they'll contact customers this week regarding existing bookings.
