The Department of Social Care has today been outlining the developments within the Adult Services Rebalancing Programme.
The programme will see a modern approach to service delivery set to benefit more vulnerable adults, especially the elderly.
Those with learning disabilities will also set to benefit as improved services will enable them to live as independently as possible.
The Department are also working to rebalance domiciliary care to secure the future of home care services on the Island.
A consultation will take place in 2013 looking into forming a more consistent, equitable and transparent process for accessing care services and support for carers.
