Anyone heading to Cregneash today (Saturday) for the Hop tu Naa celebrations is asked not to come empty handed.
Heavy rain this summer washed away the majority of the turnip crop on the Island – leaving Manx National Heritage short of the vegetable.
Normally around 3,000 turnips are grown for the event but this year just over 200 have materialised.
The event takes place between 10am and 5pm today and public services manager Howard Parkin has this appeal for visitors:
