Michael MHK Alf Cannan says he doesn’t feel satisfied that the Treasury Minister fully answered his questions in the House of Keys yesterday.
They relate to the Pinewood Studios deal, which is set to be officially recognised on the UK Stock Market from tomorrow.
Minister Eddie Teare dismissed Mr Cannan’s opinion that Pinewood was the only one who would benefit from the deal as ‘poppycock’.
Government has a stake of just under 10 per cent in the film studio giants, while in return Pinewood will handle the Island’s £25 million media development fund.
Mr Cannan told us he feels the Island’s film industry is simply not sustainable:
