One of the Unite union’s highest-ranking personnel was in Douglas yesterday in crunch talks with the Chief Minister regarding bus drivers’ pay.
Len McCluskey flew in from the UK to join the head of the Island’s branch Eric Holmes as the pair held productive talks with Allan Bell.
It followed the news that bus drivers have been given their notice of dismissal and offered a new contract from the DCCL.
However, should the drivers refuse this they no longer have a job.
