Work to demolish a derelict hotel will start today, causing up to six weeks of disruption for motorists.
The Mannin Hotel on Broadway in Douglas is being pulled down in order to create a brand-new 50-bedroom property in its place.
Because of the lack of rear access to the property and the height of the building, it’s not deemed safe for the public to be in the area while the work is taking place.
It means the roads will be closed from below the Villa Marina entrance to the promenade.
