The Communications Commission says new legislation it’s introducing will help to make the telecommunications market fairer.
It’s published the results of two investigations carried out into the wholesale and retail fixed telecoms markets on the Island.
A consultation on the matter was first published in June last year and now the new documents set out the designations placed on the licensees and the duties and responsibilities of the incumbent provider.
The new rules will come into effect early next month.
Chairman of the Communications Commission, Juan Watterson, says the new rules will probably affect Manx Telecom the most:
